Remail.me is a service that takes all the pain and hassle out of changing email addresses.
It's much better than
forwarding
or
autoreply
messages, which actually make things worse.
For just
$5 (or free for people who help us test it during this pre-launch beta period - click here for an invitation to the beta), remail.me lets you stop worrying about your old email address and start using your new address right away, without missing a single message or losing touch with someone important.
Forwarded mails come from your old account, not from the sender, so you have to open each message just to find out who it's from.
You can't just "reply" to a forwarded message. You have to enter the "To:" and "Cc:" lines every time.
And forwarding sends everything. If one of your reasons for switching is to get away from unwanted mail (or people), using forwarding just moves the problem to your new account.
Autoreply messages tell everyone about your new account — including people you don't want to tell.
Autoreply messages also broadcast your new address to spammers.
Who is remail.me for?
Remail.me is for people like:
The grown-up, who fuzzybear24@aol.com just doesn't fit any more
The scrubber, who is on too many email lists
The graduate, who's been using school email
The escaper, who wants to free themselves from spam (or an ex!)
The mover, changing ISPs from, say, AT&T to Comcast
The power user, who wants to consolidate or manage multiple email accounts
If you have a bunch of old email accounts, remail.me makes it easy to consolidate them into your new account.
It's easy and it's flexible. For example, you can keep some of them active and just do selective remailing, while gradually retiring others.
We even help you create a common address book across them all!
Why should I use remail.me?
There are 6 things you should do when switching email addresses. It's a lot of work, so most people do just one or two.
